Nasarawa-United-FC
Nassarawa United have usurped Sharks from the top of the league table of the Nigeria Professioanl Football League after defeating Abia Warriors 3-1 in Lafia in a week 19 fixture.

The victory places Nassarawa on 31 points from 19 games, one point ahead of Sharks who continued their poor run of form following a 2-1 home lose to Akwa United.
Godspower Aniefiok put Akwa in front in the 20th minute before Ezekiel Bassey doubled the lead 14 minutes later. A 90th minute goal from Fortune Omoniwari for Sharks was not enough as the Port-Harcourt-based side suffered their third straight game.
At the Aba Township stadium, former league champions Enyimba were surprisingly held by new comers Giwa to a goalless draw. On the bench for Giwa was former Enyimba’s handler Kadiri Ikhana.
While at the Dan Anyiam stadium, Heartland pipped Lobi Stars 1-0. A 16th minute strike from Bright Ejike was enough to secure the Naze Millionaires all three points.
In other results, Nembe City were held to a 2-2 draw at home by Sunshine Stars, Taraba lost away to Gombe 1-0, Crown played 2-2 at home with Bayelsa United, and Kaduna United beat Warri Wolves 1-0.
Meanwhile, the games between Kano Pillars versus Dolphins and El-Kanemi versus Rangers was postponed.
