REAL MADRID TEMPT LIVERPOOL WITH £70M SUAREZ BID

Real Madrid are ready to offer Liverpool £70 million for Luis Suarez, according to reports.

Los Blancos are set to dominate a second successive summer transfer window with a whopping bid for the Uruguayan striker, who was recently named the PFA Player of the Year, per BBC Sport.
It seems Madrid will aim to take advantage of a release clause in Suarez's contract, with one club source suggesting the European giants will easily get their man, per the Sun and reported via Chris Richards of the Mirror.
"Florentino Perez will just come and 'swoosh,'" said the source. "He will prize [sic] Suarez away. He is their No 1 target. He ticks all the boxes and is easily the world's best player behind Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi."

Suarez was heavily linked with a move away from Anfield last summer. He pleaded with the club to "honour" its agreement and let him leave in search of Champions League football before the start of the season, as reported by BBC Sport. Now that Liverpool are guaranteed a stint in next season's elite competition, Suarez may be willing to stay.
There is, of course, the Madrid factor if a bid comes in. Perez rarely misses out on his targets—as highlighted by last year's capture ofGareth Bale—and has the funds to easily pursue someone of Suarez's calibre. The South American is a known admirer of theBernabeu club and may find the lure of La Liga too strong like so many before him.
Edinson Cavani, Suarez's international teammate, previously revealed Real Madrid are the "dream" club for his prolific colleague. Speaking after Suarez was linked with a £40 million-plus-£1 move to Arsenal,Cavani suggested the Spanish capital may emit a strong reaction from Suarez, as reported by James Andrew of the Daily Mail:
I am sure Liverpool fans are very happy Luis stayed - he will be a big player for them. I think Arsenal was not Luis's dream move, maybe if it had been Real Madrid then it would have been a different outcome - but of course Madrid were concentrating on a different target this summer.
