Arsenal rocked in Draxler chase

Arsenal's continued pursuit of German sensation Julian Draxler seems to have hit
another roadblock with the player's agent telling SportBild.de : "Why should a player
leave the club if the club have just built a top team? I also think it's good if players
stick to what they have signed. It would take an awful lot to happen for one of the two
of them to leave. And even then I'm not sure it would be possible. The players
understand that there is currently a lot of peace at the club and a lot of optimism about
their future there."

Arsenal face competition from Juventus for Sheffield United striker

wants at Chelsea is Modric and he is willing to include Oscar plus cash in the
transaction."

But Kjaer not heading to OT in a hurry
Danish defender Simon Kjaer was once upon a time a very hot property in the transfer
market, and the Lille man finds himself in a surprise link with Premier League champions
Manchester United. The 25 year old though played down talk of a summer transfer,
telling BT.dk : "It is of course always flattering to be linked with big clubs but I am not
wasting my thoughts on rumours about other clubs. I am spending all my efforts and
keep my focus entirely on reaching my goal that we will qualify for the Champions
League next season."
Aspas does U-turn
En route to winning a Premier League winners medal with Liverpool, Spanish striker Iago
Aspas has apparently changed his mind about leaving the club. The player's agent is
believed to have told a reporter in a direct interview, "There is no possibility of a return
to Spain for Iago, or for a move elsewhere. Iago has a four-year contract with Liverpool
and he is happy to be at the Reds, aside from the fact that he would certainly like to
play more. But [Brendan] Rodgers is happy with him and they are not thinking about a
transfer."

Southampton issue hands off warning... again
Southampton chairman Ralph Krueger has told the Daily Star that his club has no
intention of selling their top players this summer despite the incessant interest from
Chelsea and Manchester United. Krueger said, "We are doing everything in our power to
keep this group together... there has been no talk of selling anything... We feel very
comfortable that we have a plan that can deal with the situation and we are definitely
not factoring in a big player sale... We're pretty sure that there are no more surprises
and that being the case, we feel comfortable that we're going to be good. And that we
will be able to keep this group together."
