The former Barcelona man turned provider for Arsenal’s third goal against Chelsea as the £35m signing teed up Mesut Ozil in the 40th minute.
The South American has scored four goals and has made two assists in five Premier League appearances in the 2016-17 season so far.
Former Arsenal defender Keown believes Arsene Wenger hasn’t had a player of such quality to lead his attack since Henry.
“It was a fantastic team performance,” Keown told BBC One’s Match Of The Day. “Alexis Sanchez is the icing on the cake.
“I haven’t seen any of this quality for years. Thierry Henry was the last person I saw with this type of pace and quality.”
Keown added: “It takes a lot of things to be champions but you have to have a player at the top of the team that everyone can believe in. They certainly believe in him at the moment.”
Keown was part of the last Arsenal squad to win the Premier League title in 2004 when Henry and Patrick Vieira inspired the Gunners to an unbeaten top-flight campaign.
