Antonio Conte Expresses Satisfaction With Moses
Chelsea boss Antonio Conte
has expressed his delight in the contribution Victor Moses made in the side’s
2-0 victory away at Hull on Saturday.
After losses against Liverpool and Arsenal, the Italian manager reverted to a 3-4-3 formation, using the Nigerian as a right wing-back in his first league start since 2013.
The former Liverpool, Stoke and West Ham loanee made eight crosses from open play at the KCOM stadium – more than any other player before being substituted after having pulled a hamstring.
”For me, Moses played an incredible game in a defensive and offensive situation,” Conte said.

“It is
fantastic because he is working very hard.”
”He
deserved to play and he showed me that my choice was right.”
Aged 25, the winger has
struggled for regular first team football since a £9m move from Wigan to
Stamford Bridge in the summer of 2012, but his improvement has not been
unnoticed from the former Juventus and Italy boss.
Asked if Moses could continue playing in the wing-back position, Conte answered “Yes, but if he plays in this way it’s fantastic.
“I also think Pedro [can play there]. It gives us the opportunity to use wingers – if we have wingers who can play in this role, it gives us great options.”
