  • Manchester City could pull off a stunning transfer deadline day deal for Monaco's £50m-rated striker Radamel Falcao if they are able to sell currently-injured forward Alvaro Negredo to Valencia.
  • Real Madrid are in talks with Manchester United over a season-long loan deal for striker Javier Hernandez.
  • QPR manager Harry Redknapp is plotting an audacious deadline day swoop for Toronto FC striker Jermain Defoe, who played for him at West Ham and Tottenham, as a replacement for Loic Remy.
