Calum Chambers is the latest right-back to be linked with Arsenal as they prepare to replace Bacary Sagna.
Chambers, aged 19, came through Saints’ academy systems and has played 21 league games for Mauricio Pochettino’s side this season.
The Gunners have scouted him on a number of occasions and view him as Sagna’s long-term successor, claims the Daily Mail.
England under-19 international Chambers signed a new four-year contract with Southampton last summer ahead of making his league debut against West Brom in August.
Sagna is yet to agree terms over an extension. Although there have been reports that Arsene Wenger is prepared to break his wage structure and over-30s contract policy in order to keep him, the France international appears set to sign a bumper final contract elsewhere.
