Super Eagles midfield star Ogenyi Onazi has played down Saturday’s home loss to Congo and assured that they are not prepared to surrender Nigeria’s unbeaten record against South Africa.
In an exclusive chat with Complete Sports, the SC Lazio star has sent a warning note to the South Africans to prepare for war, adding that Super Eagles are hell bent on beating Bafana Bafana right in their backyard.
The player who has recently been described as a player with six lungs owing to his work rate assured Nigerians not to lose any sleep over threats posed by Bafana Bafana’s emphatic 3-0 win over Sudan.
He said Eagles are ready to make up for Saturdays loss by beating South Africa.
“it’s really painful to have lost in that manner but i want to appeal to Nigerians to keep supporting the team, this is the time we need them most. We will go to South Africa to win by the special grace of God”, he assured.
