ALLEGRI TO MANAGE SPURS

Former AC Milan manager Massimiliano Allegri is set to become Tottenham Hotspur’s
boss next season.

According to Italian sports newspaper Corriere dello Sport, Allegri has agreed a deal to
manage Spurs in July, with the board also promising him transfer funds.
The Italian was sacked by AC Milan in January after a poor season and has reportedly
been living in London, learning English in anticipation of coaching a Premier League
side.

And it is claimed that Daniel Levy has given the opportunity by offering the Serie A-
winner Tim Sherwood’s job at White Hart Lane.
The source also reports that Allegri will bring current AC Milan assistant coach Mauro
Tassotti – who has held this position since 2001 – along with him.
The 46-year-old is the newest name in the recent managers – notably Louis van Gall
and Southampton’s Mauricio Pochettino – linked with the Lilywhite job after Tim
Sherwood’s likely departure.
In 2011, Allegri led AC Milan to their first Serie A title since 2004 in his debut season,
but couldn’t match his early successes and was replaced by Clarence Seedorf in
January this year.
