Newcastle boss Alan Pardew has a decision to make over super-sub Papiss Cisse ahead of Wednesday night's Capital One Cup third round trip to Crystal Palace.
The Senegal international, who had been out since April with a fractured kneecap, came off the bench on Saturday with the Magpies trailing 2-0 to Hull at St James' Park and struck twice to hand his side a draw.
Pardew later admitted Cisse was nowhere near match-fit and will assess him over the next 24 hours, but defender Davide Santon (knee), midfielders Siem de Jong (thigh) and Rolando Aarons (hamstring) and striker Adam Campbell (hernia) are still out.
Marouane Chamakh remains Crystal Palace's biggest doubt for the Selhurst Park clash.
The Morocco striker missed Saturday's 3-2 Premier League win at Everton with hamstring trouble and may not be risked for the midweek cup contest.
Deadline day recruit Zeki Fryers is still waiting for his first start since making the switch from Tottenham.
